Hello, friends of learning!
We had a jam-packed morning of learning today!
In Math, we reviewed 4 mental math questions in preparation for our mental math assessment tomorrow and we also spent time practicing multi-step geometric transformations by determining and writing down the steps. We have been using the SmartPals quite a bit in Math lately, which allows us to work through a variety of examples and easily erase and change our thinking if need be.
In Science, we our currently tackling two different activities: graphing and researching.
For graphing, we are reviewing the steps of how to draw a graph and practicing how to correctly place the variables on the correct axes as well as placing a set of coordinates onto a graph after creating an appropriate scale for each axe.
For our research project, we are using the iPads to research two arthropods of our choice. Using a list of set websites provided to us by Mme Careen, we are tasked with finding a set list of information about each of our examples, including its habitat, life cycle and diet.
