Hi everyone!
Were our Math brains ever busy thinking today!
Working in randomized groups at the white boards, we created different Math expressions involving fractions by placing the digits 1-9 into the given blank squares. We worked with proper fractions, improper fractions and mixed numbers. This activity gave us the chance to review and explain many different concepts involving fractions, including: equivalent fractions, ordering fractions, and how to convert improper fractions to mixed numbers (and vice versa).
There were many great discussions amongst the students as they worked together. It was great to hear how well they could explain the reasoning behind their solutions.
Bravo!
