Here's a quick look at what we kept us busy at school this morning:
In Math, we continue working with percents, with a focus on representing them in a variety of ways. Today we created a floor plan of a house and two versions of a park layout using specific percentages to represent a list of required features.
In Français, we continue reading our Zamboni text. In Chapter 4 we learn about one of the boys' FANATICal mom and are introduced to the Zamboni driver for the first time. The chapter ends with the boy entering the Zamboni for the first time to discover "la machine a rêves." La machine a rêves?!
We also had a work period for CFOO #11 - Les opinions. CFOO presentations will be Wednesday, April 25.
Finally in Science, we worked in groups of 4 to classify different objects (written on cards) as either solids or fluids. We used a Venn diagram to help with our sorting. Everyone in our group had to agree where the objects should be placed before writing them down. If there was debate, we had to work to come to a consensus or write the item outside of the Venn diagram for further discussion later on.
