We had a great morning of learning together today!
Mme McKenzie was with us for Mathé this morning and we started a geometric Mathé masterpiece!
After creating a unique tracing template, we traced our shape onto a white paper, rotating the tracer each time, matching up the sides much like a puzzle piece. Once we've created our pattern on our sheet, we will colour in each section of the pattern to create a beautiful work of art!
In Science, we worked to finish two different tasks: observation questions about our Tomatosphere project and our research activity about sponges, worms and molluscs. Next week we will be moving on to the data analysis portion of our tomato experiment and will be starting our investigation into the life of arthropods using a specific list of websites to guide our information search.
Finally, in Français, we used our time to practice for our upcoming assembly.
We will be sharing about our learning in mathé, science and écologie humaine. Every student is involved in the assembly presentation, taking on 2 different roles. Stay tuned for some 'sneak peak' photos to be posted after our final practice Monday morning!
*Please note that yesterday's post stated that the assembly is Wednesday of next week, which is incorrect. Our January "Celebration of Learning" assembly will be Tuesday, January 23, beginning at approximately 9:15am in the school gymnasium. All families and community members are most welcome to join us!
