We had a great morning together!
After starting our day outside for our Community Clean-Up,
we spent the rest of the morning working in Math and Français.
we spent the rest of the morning working in Math and Français.
In Math, we worked in groups at the whiteboards to solve different Math mobiles. In addition to finding the value of each shape, we also had to explain our steps/thought process of how we arrived at our solution.
In Français, Mme Galka was here and did a mini-lesson on punctuation and how reading punctuation can change the entire sense of what we are saying.
We started by comparing these two sentences:
"Let's eat Grandma!" and "Let's eat, Grandma!"
What a difference a comma can make!
We took this lesson with us to our Reader's Theatre groups and applied it as we practiced reading our roles.
Thanks for a fun lesson, Mme Galka!
