Happy Thursday, learning friends!
We had a great morning of learning today!
In Math, we are reviewing what we already know about fractions (see picture below) and have taken some extra time to discuss and review equivalent and reduced fractions. When finding equivalent and reduced fractions, we must remember to treat the numerator and denominator the same
(i.e multiplying or dividing them both by the same number).
We are finding that relating fractions to examples using food (such as pizza and cake) gives us a good visual to go on. (It has also made us realize that not many of us like having mushrooms on our pizza...!)
In Français, we were treated to our first of four Reader's Theatre presentations!
Bravo to Sierra, Ellowyn, Tommy, Jan, Aidan and Peggy-Lee who presented two short plays:
L'herbe est toujours plus verte et Ne reveille pas le chien qui dort.
Félicitations, les élèves!
