Thursday re-cap

Hello learning friends!
Today was a great Thursday!

We started the day by putting Math and Art together to create a unique masterpiece of our names! Using a series of 100-grids, we coloured in the letters of our names and then calculated the percents, fractions out of 100 and decimal numbers for each letter.

In Français, we continued with Zamboni and worked in groups to compare and contrast the Zamboni driver and the narrator's dad. We also wrote about a time when we had a lot of pressure put on ourselves and how we were able to perform under those circumstances.

We also had a very special treat this afternoon - a Talent Show! We were treated to 12 wonderful student acts
(and one teacher band!) and had the opportunity to raise money... close to $750!... for Keira's Krusade in the process. A very special congratulations to Alexis from our class who sang so beautifully during the show!
Bravo, Alexis!

Wishing you all a very wonderful weekend! :)

P.S. Please see previous post for weekend agenda items. In addition, please note that fun lunch order forms were sent home Wednesday and are due back (with payment) to school by Tuesday of next week. Bon appetit! :)
